Corresponding to 2008 being a leap year, the Whiteman Brothers took a leap of faith. They challenged themselves to a feat of strength. Could they write/shoot/edit and upload one short film for every one of the 29 days that compose leap year’s February?

THE WHITEMAN BROTHERS

Mike has a couple of hours to kill. He decides to make a decision he’ll regret. He decides to visit the Whiteman Brothers. Second feature film. Shot on-the-sly in the summer of 2006.

THE DISGUSTING LITTLE SHIVER

Toby has been diagnosed with having a Disgusting Little Shiver living inside his body. He has to figure out how to get it out and what exactly it is. Our third feature-length film. Shot in Ithaca, NY in the summer of 2007.

EVIL SPIRIT FROM THE SUN

Thomas is an 8 year-old orphan. Kicked out of his house and forced to fend for himself, he inadvertently summons an Evil Spirit from the Sun by singing one of his songs. The spirit gives him three days to prove that the Earth is worth saving. In the same three-day span, the Spirit must find proof that the world is worth destroying. Based on a song and starring young Caleb Tobias, the Whiteman family collaborated with the Centanni family to make this fable. Shot in the summer of 2008.

PEEKABOO ROSE

Experimental 48 minute documentary on the city of Portland. The challenge was to make a feature film in a three day span. Conceived in one day, shot the next and edited on the third. No-Doz and the human spirit are the only reasons this film exists. Shot in the summer of 2008.

THERE IS NO MOUNTAIN: SONG OF SEIKILOS

“Song of Seikilos” – at roughly 2000 years old is the oldest known piece of fully notated music and lyrics we have. The single verse was found on a tombstone in what is present-day Turkey. There Is No Mountain could find no recording of it in English so they decided to record one themselves. The video is right here for you. Footage shot in Oregon, Washington, Montana and Canada. Directed/Edited by Sean.

PENNY JAM

Portland Music Everywhere. Project Sean and Scott Carver started in 2008. They shoot a Portland-based musical act playing a song in an odd location. Over 30 are ready to be feasted upon right here.
